Challenge

Branson has been a popular tourist destination since the 1960s, and enjoys a high percentage of repeat visitors. With a good base and old-fashioned charm, many businesses did not re-invest in their facilities to meet more modern demands. One example was the 41-room Great Western Inn, located next door to our newly-renovated Hollywood Entertainment Center. The three-story hotel & motel, built in 1975, was dilapidated and lacking the appeal of the other hotels, restaurants and attractions nearby.

Solution

As a participant in the City’s development of a new Comprehensive Plan to expand its tourist base and solidify its future, Kuvera saw an opportunity to replace an eyesore with a compelling attraction. We purchased the 30,000-square-foot property, removed the hotel and created a Hollywood-themed mini-golf course, Shoot for the Stars.
